The most pressing desire of my tea-infatuated heart has been soothed and satisfied! I discovered and consequently purchased a pound of loose yerba mate leaves thanks to Native Sun and it’s unparalleled selection of teas that Beth adores.

Not only is mate great for you (it provides mental and physical stimulation by boosting your metabolism, according to the side panel), but it is undeniably the most tasty brewed-leaf beverage you will ever slip past your kisser. (Try to deny it and see what happens. It will not be nice.)

The lip-smacking taste of the tea just barely beats out the fresh citrus scent for most rewarding quality. Opening the package, a whiff of the juiciest, most perfectly-ripened lemon you can imagine, will emerge, delighting your schnoz. At the end of the brewing process, the damp leaves have a refreshing green and grassy aroma.

Regardless of the mate’s delectable fragrance, the robust flavors and substantial mouthfeel conquer all.  My feeble words can’t capture the miraculousness of the South American brew. Drinking a sip is like relaxing in the early morning cool, bare feet bending soft blades in the center of a meadow, while gentle wind ruffles your coif and brings the tart, yet sweet, perfume of nearby citrus trees to you.

Come have a cup with me.
